David are you still active??
Just read a report in the book the Singing Line referring to you.
Ken, I am now retired but still keep quite busy with various historical and other activities. I lost track of your movements after you left what is now CQU. What have you been up to since then? My best wishes, David, dcarment@bigpond.net.au
David – am still in Yeppoon keeping busy too. I retired at teh end of 2004. My last lecture was a Zoom class at CQU in 2020. Not sorry to be out of it all and it has I think become even less attractive as a place to enjoy work. The book is a real find from a number of points of view both historical but also social especially the state of the small towns in SA and NT struggling to exist!
Thanks Ken. Most Australian universities have become less attractive places to work in recent years. I enjoyed meeting the book’s author. She was delightful company. She is now a columnist with the London Times. I was last in Rocky and Yeppoon about 8 years ago. I must try and get back before I get too much older.
